The so-called "ghost forest" on the Baltic coast near Rostock. The unusual and sometimes bizarre shapes of the trees create a mystical atmosphere, especially at dusk, and fog, and inevitably stimulate the imagination of visitors.

Radio Telescope Effelsberg. The Radio Telescope Effelsberg is one of the largest fully steerable radio telescopes on earth. It is located in the Eifel, a low mountain range in western Germany, in a valley location between the surrounding mountains to protect the telescope as far as possible from radiation from civilization-related radio sources.
